*These are my personal opinions, if you don't like them, feel free to debate with me*

With such meaning words as "Emotional Awareness Revolution" and "Unplug your cell phone chargers and eat more.. soil..or something!" how could anyone dare to think they could be wrong?

On the concerts themselves:

1. The power consumed by the stage lights, amps, and speakers has got to be enormous. (I'm sure someone will have a report out on it soon)

2. In order to have all these famous artists at these places a lot of them flew in private jets (one band brought 12 tour busses).

3. To get all the..65,000 or so fans at each stadium, most of them must have driven.

On the policy:

Sure, saving the planet is nice..and i'm not saying we should destroy it, but some of the things just didn't make sense.

"If 1 million people ride bike 5 miles instead of driving once a week we will save (forgot how many million) pounds of Carbon Emissions" - How is someone supposed to bring groceries for a family home on a bicycle?

"If everyone switched 4 regular light bulbs with compact flourescent we would save 90,000 pounds of carbon emissions a year" - First off, compact flourescent light bulbs contain mercury, which we know for sure is harmful. And second if we were saving money on our electricity bill, we would probably spend it on heating and cooling anyways.

"We need to recycle more" - This is one of my personal favorites. Everyone keeps saying we need to recycle paper and plastic and rubber and all kinds of things. The thing is, Aluminum is the only thing it is more efficient to recycle than to mine new. Everything else-takes more.

**This next bit is a text clipping and not my own writing**
Consider that it takes a current 50 megawatt gas-fired generating plant about 2-5 acres of land to produce its power. Yet to create that same amount of power through the use of solar panels would require at least 1,000 acres. Using wind mills to generate 50 megawatts would require over 4,000 acres of land, while chopping up birds and creating a deafening roar. The cost of such “alternative” energy to the community would be vastly prohibitive.
** end clipping**'

Oh yes and "say no to nuclear energy!" - Nuclear energy is the cleanest. By far. Don't tell me about solar panels..only use electricity on sunny days and not to mention how many chemicals are used in the making of them..

Our school system is actually forcing kids to write letters to their representatives on global warming even if they don't want to, is anyone else's school doing the same. (It's the reason I almost failed my science class) And in a newspaper report interviewing one of our teachers on their "project citizen" (this is a quote now) "We're arming the children with knowledge to convert any non-believers in global warming" --Now.. brainwashing the children..doesn't that sound a bit like a religous cult?

*doesn't remember what else he was going to say..*

Personal attack on Al Gore:

Yep that's right. I'm making a personal attack on the man "leading the global warming movement" want to know why?
Because Al Gore flys around in a private jet while telling everyone else to ride bicycles. Not to mention he owns multiple SUVs.

Because he owns a 20 room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) in Tennessee consuming more energy in a month than most American households do in a year. Heated by natural gas (which was still fossil fuel last time I checked).

Avg household: 888 Kilowatt Hours Avg. Per Month
Al Gore 2005: 16,200 Kilowatt Hours Avg. Per Month
Al Gore 2006: 18,414 Kilowatt Hours Avg. Per Month

Oh yes and about him buying "carbon offset credits" oh yes he's buying them.. first off what do they do? Nothing really, except make you feel better about yourself and saying you did something. He's buying them from a carbon offset company which he owns, essentially buying things from himself.

*This is poorly written and I probably left a lot out but it's good enough for now. Like I said feel free to debate with me on this issue*
